NCL Pick’em Bot

A weekly prediction game, right in the league’s Discord.

I built a Discord bot that runs NCL’s weekly pick’ems. It posts matchups with team reactions, season records, and historical head-to-heads, so members can make their picks without leaving the server.

Normal picks earn +1 for a correct result. Selected games offer a crown double-down: +2 if you’re right, −1 if you’re wrong. Picks lock at the deadline; after commissioners record the winners, the bot scores them, updates the leaderboard, and syncs the standings to Google Sheets.

About me.

I’m Sarc, a software engineer and Pokémon draft league player. I’ve been an active member of the Nimbasa City League (NCL) for many years, competing at every skill level: Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos.

I’ve also been active in NCL’s offseason competitions: Emolga, Togedemaru, Zekrom, and Stunfisk—and even won Heliolisk.

Being part of NCL gives these projects a personal connection. I’m building for the same community I draft with: tools to explore our matches, revisit league history, practice a draft, and keep everyone involved between games.
